A 's Post 12-Sridevi

Sridevi in 1983 Bollywood movie Himmatwala -as Rekha Bandookwala- which has recently been remade. I noticed they featured a clip from a Bollywood film in the History of  the Leather Jacket Documentary I featured on a playlist a few weeks ago  the female character carried a sniper rifle- and modeled herself after Marianne Faithful in Girl on a Motorcycle(maybe they were messing with the subtitles  for continuity reasons- but maybe it was the proper dialouge) - but she too looked great-would be nice to know what the identity of that movie was.) .I was going to number the pictures here (seeing as someone requested it-I will do it with future posts though-I uploaded these in a block .. didn't want to interfere with the html as it would take longer trying to sort all that out)-Great post from A - nice to see something Indian here .

    It's most certainly leather-there's a clip of this scene on youtube-personally I think she looks great and ahead of her time.

    Glad you agree Cecilia-this films made in the early 1980's the clothes here look like club wear from early to mid 1990's- when we think of Indian cinema we tend to think of traditional garb, but Sridevi;s character here is both modern and it also tells us a little about her character at the start of the film... no expert on Bollywood bought up on western cinema but that's the vibe I get.
